The Town Hall of Oñati has announced the 'Oñatiko Udala' Grant, which is worth 4,000€. The grant is a result of a co-operation agreement between the Town Hall and the International Institute for the Sociology of Law. The call for projects is open until 31 January.

The aim of this grant is to foster research projects within the scope of Law or Social Sciences which will make a contribution to the town of Oñati.

2017 has been a very productive year for the online socio-legal journal OSLS -it has published eight issues, four of them extraordinary issues. The last of them has just been made available and is entitled "Working the Boundaries of Law". It is the result of a bilkura (meeting) celebrated in Oñati.

The on-line journal Oñati Socio-legal Series published another extra issue within its volume number 7. In this case, it is a collection of articles inspired by a workshop that took place in Oñati and was chaired by Antal Szerletics and Lidia Rodak. Academics and experts from Central and Eastern Europe discussed the state of legal education in the CEE region, analyzed its main challenges and proposed possible solutions.

Como cada fin de año, Oñati Socio-legal Series ha publicado un número misceláneo de la revista para dar cabida a artículos que no provienen de los talleres celebrados en el IISJ durante el curso. El nuevo número está disponible en la web de la revista.

El Ayuntamiento de Oñati va a convocar nuevamente la beca Oñatiko Udala, cuyo plazo de presentación empezará el día 1 de enero. Todas las bases se podrán consultar en la web del Ayuntamiento (www.oñati.eus). Esta beca es fruto del convenio de colaboración entre el Ayuntamiento de Oñati y el IISJ.
