ADDI, the Digital Archive for Teaching and Research of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), is a repository of digital documents, whose objective is to organize, archive, preserve and disseminate in open access mode the intellectual production resulting from the teaching and research activity carried out at the University of the Basque Country.
Some of the advantages of archiving works in digital format in the Repository of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) are:
- Greater dissemination, visibility and impact for your work, as it is accessible to everyone through the Internet.
- As readers, researchers benefit from access and use of the full text of all research published in their area, not just the research that can be accessed through the institution's subscription.
- Access to statistical data on queries and downloads of works.
- Centralized access point to all the scientific or teaching production of a professor, research group, educational innovation group, and in general of the entire university community.
- Use of persistent and stable identifiers (handles) for each of the deposited materials.
- Long-term preservation of digital materials.
- Cooperation with other institutions, professors, researchers, etc., especially important in developing countries, through open and shared knowledge.
- Accreditation of the authorship of the works by making them available on the Internet.
- Compliance with national and international policies regarding the obligation to deposit open access publications resulting from research financed with public funds.
