The research line explores how AI and emerging technologies are reshaping society and legal systems, influencing governance, regulation, justice, and socio-legal research methods. It highlights the growing challenges around legitimacy, accountability, rights, and institutional adaptation in the face of rapid technological change.
Its core themes include transnational regulatory models; equality, bias, and human rights; the use of AI in the public sector and justice; impacts on medicine and human interaction; and geopolitical and sustainability dimensions. The first year foresees concrete outputs and a collaborative methodological structure involving all participants.
