We are deeply moved and grateful to share that the tribute event in honor of Prof. Dr. Manuel (Manolo) Calvo García was a resounding success!
More than 70 people joined us both in person at Oñati and online, creating an atmosphere filled with warmth, emotion, and shared memory.
A truly special moment of the day came from our five award-winning master's students (Itziar Altuzarra, Marixe Ruiz de Austri, Shavani Chetty, Hue Thien Ta, and Elsa Reiderstad). Their research presentations were magnificent, beautifully linking their current socio-legal work with Manolo’s vision and passion for social justice.
We also want to express our sincere appreciation to Professors Vincenzo Ferrari, Joxerramon Bengoetxea, Camilo Umaña, and Teresa Picontó-Novales. Their moving speeches offered us a wonderful reflection on Manolo's academic legacy, his professional achievements, and his warm personal life.
Finally, our deepest gratitude goes to all members of the Oñati Community (OC). Your generous financial and academic support over the last five years made this grant and this tribute possible. Thank you for keeping Manolo’s spirit and legacy alive in our hearts and work.
