Osborn, Guy

Professor in the Westminster Law School at the University of Westminster, and formerly an adjunct Professor at the Department of Sociology and Political Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway.

He hold degrees from the University of Leeds (BA Philosophy), University of Leicester (LLM), and Manchester Metropolitan University (PhD), and am an accredited mediator. In addition I was awarded a Diploma in Law (CNAA, Polytechnic of Central London, was called to the Bar in 1993 (Middle Temple) and am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

He is co Creative Director of The Soho Poly, our central London arts space and am Co-Director of the Centre for Law, Society and Popular Culture, editor of the Entertainment and Sports Law Journal and of the Routledge Book series Studies in Law, Society and Popular Culture.

He contributes to our entertainment related modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

He also supervises a number of PhD students and is very interested in supervising further research students in any of his areas of interest.

Currently his key areas of research include a large ESRC funded project on the ticket market and work related to Olympic laws, see for example his book Olympic Laws: Culture, Values, Tensions, although he continues to work in other areas such as film, festivals and public spaces and street culture.
