The Scientific Director of the International Institute for the Sociology of Law (IISL), Camilo Umaña, is participating in the IX International Congress of the Latin American Postgraduate Network, held from 26 to 29 October in La Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala, in collaboration with Universidad Rafael Landívar (URL).
Under the theme Social Justice and Democracy in the 21st Century, the congress addresses contemporary challenges in the social, legal, political, economic and educational spheres. The programme brings together academics and researchers from the participating universities for a series of lectures, presentations and discussions exploring key issues facing societies today.
As part of the closing ceremony, the IISL Scientific Director will deliver a presentation entitled “El desprecio por la verdad y la sociedad del desconocimiento”, addressing the challenges posed by the disregard for truth and the emergence of a society characterised by a lack of knowledge.
