3rd Pre-enrolment period: 4-8 July 2024

If you are interested in The IISL’s International Master’s in Sociology of Law, these are the steps you should follow:

  • Those with foreign qualification issued outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) (Authorisation for accessing a master’s degree at the University of the Basque Country with a foreign qualification issued outside the EHEA) need to fill the online form  before doing the pre-registration. (Please send the proof document once it is done to master@iisj.es)
  • Fill out the application form below.  To do this, you will need attach following documents:
    • A copy of the passport or identity card
    • A passport-style photo
    • A curriculum vitae
    • Your first degree diploma (legalized document) Legalization of the first degree diploma: Documents issued in a country which is a member of the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961 (Apostille convention) can be legalised by means of an Apostille.     • Transcripts of the marks received
    • Statement of the Grade Average (Declaración de Equivalencia de la Nota Media)
    • If you did not have still the degree, you would need to have it finished by the beginning of the programme.
    • financial statement documents (in the case you apply for the Global South Scholarship)
  • The University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) requested us to proceed with the pre-enrollment for the master 2024/25 in parallel in their webpage. This process needs to be done by the student (in March 2024). Link for pre-enrolment at the UPV/EHU: https://app.ehu.eus/identity-manager/login. Availabe at specific dates.
Personal Data
Demographic data are collected for statistical purposes to be able to report about participation in the Institute´s activities and its development over time.
This information is gathered for receipts. Tax office requests the institute to issue invoices for the payments received, even if the person paying does not request an invoice.

Academic Information
Please, attach following documents.

1) a complete Curriculum Vitae: this should state your approximate class standing in any higher degree qualification attained (e.g. top 5%, top 15%), and should include details of any dissertation or substantial written work, and the citation if published

2) Please, send a small photograph (5x4 cm)

3) Please enclose a transcript of the credits or subjects showing completion of the first degree. If your application is accepted, you will be required to send an officially legalized first degree diploma translated into Spanish by an official translator. The document can also be in English. If you are in the final year of your first degree, you should include a transcript of the results obtained so far.

Recommendation letter Nr. 1
Please, fill in with the requested details of the first professor or other scholar from who you have a letter of reference and attach it here. Their references should verify the details of your qualification(s) obtained and your class standing. (The language of the letters can be in two languages, preferably in English).

Allowed file types: gif jpg jpeg png pdf doc docx.
Recommendation letter Nr. 2
Please, fill in with the requested details of the first professor or other scholar from who you have a letter of reference and attach it here. Their references should verify the details of your qualification(s) obtained and your class standing.

You must take a recognised English language test, such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). If you have taken such a test please list below when it was taken and the grades received on each occasion. You must also enclose a copy of the diploma with your application.
