Antia Residence

On behalf of the Scientific Director and the whole team of the Oñati International Institute for the Sociology of Law (IISL), welcome to the Antia Residence, located at Santa Marina Plaza, no. 5, in downtown Oñati.

Here is some basic information to ensure that you have a great stay in Antia Residence (or Antixena, as it’s called in the Oñati dialect of the Basque language).

The Residence is home to UPV/EHU International Master in Sociology of Law students, visiting scholarsworkshop participants, professors, and other academics. This creates a very agreeable atmosphere and the opportunity to connect with each other in a relaxed environment.

Before your arrival, you will be provided with 2 personal numeric codes: one with 6 digits to unlock the main entrance door and another one to unlock a security box where you will have your room key for your stay. Please note that the main door code is changed periodically for safety.

There is no reception area and residents must take some responsibility for safety – your own as well as that of the building.

  • For anything related with the maintenance of the Residence, please contact maintenance@iisj.es.
  • There is no particular policy regarding COVID-19. However, should you have any concerns, please contact maintenance@iisj.es.

The IISL offices are in Antigua Universidad building, at a five minute walk from Antia Residence. Both the Antia Residence and the IISL University building have free Wi-Fi.

The Antia Residence is located at Santa Marina Plaza no. 5, in downtown Oñati, within walking distance of the town hall and main square, sports and cultural facilities, bars and cafeterias, supermarkets and shops.
