Stephanie Ben-Ishai is a Full Professor, York University Distinguished Research Professor, and University Research Chair in Law, Finance and Debt at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. She is a globally recognized expert in insolvency and restructuring law. Her interdisciplinary scholarship explores the intersections of corporate and financial law, access to justice, and economic inclusion. She has served as a visiting professor at institutions including Berkeley, Western, the University of Toronto, and Monash University, and is a frequent advisor to government bodies, courts, private entities, and regulatory agencies. Professor Ben-Ishai's work combines rigorous legal analysis, practical experience, and a deep commitment to public impact, particularly in areas affecting vulnerable communities.
