Pavlou, Vera

I'm Senior Lecturer in Law based at the University of Glasgow since 2018. After earning a PhD in Law from the European University Institute in 2016, I worked as postdoctoral fellow at the University of Castilla-la-Mancha in Spain and at Goethe University in Germany. My research focuses on labour, migration and gender equality at work. I have done extensive research on migrant domestic workers in Europe which examines the role of different legal regimes in producing vulnerability to exploitation, as well as the potential law offers to marginalised workers for resistance and transformative legal change. I am also a member of the European Equality Law Network which provides independent legal advice to the European Commission on gender equality issues.
