Biografía: 


I'm associate professor in contemporary Slavic studies, at Université Paris Nanterre, France (full position). Research affiliate at the Institut des Sciences Sociales du Politique, and associate to the CERCEC (EHESS/CNRS). my research focuses on violence and law-enforcement institutions in contemporary Russian society, armed conflicts in former USSR societies, in particular the Russo-Chechen conflict and its aftermath in the Chechen diaspora. Among her last publications: (co-authored with Silvia Serrano), “The state in spite of their actions: State-building and the careers of Georgian veterans of the war in Abkhazia” (co-authored with Silvia Serrano) in Veterans and state-building in the former USSR, special issue of Revue d'Etudes Comparatives Est Ouest, n°1, 2021 ; “The challenges of Using the Law in Mobilizations Against Police Violence in Russia”, Champ Pénal, (n°26, 2022). « Dealing with a violent past and its remnants in the present: the challenges of remembering the wars in Chechnya in the Chechen Diaspora in the EU, published, Ethnic and Racial Studies, 2024, Volume 47 Issue 2.
