In order to celebrate André-Jean Arnaud, the first director of the International Institute for Sociology of Law, who passed away in 2015, it was created a distinction for the best students of the Oñati Master. This symbolic distinction is given every year to the student having produced the best Master Thesis of the Oñati International Master's in Sociology of Law.
