El IISL comenzará pronto un nuevo y emocionante capítulo. A partir de enero de 2026, el edificio de la Universidad Sancti Spiritus será objeto de importantes obras de renovación. Por ello, durante un año nos trasladaremos al Archivo Histórico Provincial de Gipuzkoa, a solo cinco minutos a pie de la antigua universidad.

The IISL will soon begin an exciting new chapter. Starting in January 2026, the Sancti Spiritus building will undergo major renovation works. For one year we will relocate to the Provincial Archives of Gipuzkoa, just a short five-minute walk from the old university. 

We are pleased to announce the launch of the second edition of the Mariella Carrino Grant - in memoriam. The Carrino family is awarding €4,000 for scientific research projects on social conflict, housing policy and housing rights.

We are pleased to invite you to the presentation of the Institute’s 2026 research lines, which will take place on Wednesday, November 26, from 14:30 to 17:00 (CET). The session will be held at the IISL (Achille Loria Room) and will also be accesible online. The aim of this event is to inform the our community about the Institute’s current research lines and to explore potential opportunities for collaboration.

Each research group will offer a brief presentation, followed by Q&A.
