
Benjamín Tejerina (UPV/EHU) will give a talk about "The naturalization of society? Narratives of sociological theory on climate change", in the framework of the Permanent Seminars for the Sociology of Law. It will be on 28th February at 12:00 (CET).
Mauricio holds a PhD in Political Science from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) and an honorary doctorate from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan (France). He is a professor at the Institute of Political Studies and International Relations (IEPRI) of the National University of Colombia, a researcher at Dejusticia and a columnist for the newspaper El Espectador. Professor Brian Z. Tamanaha is a renowned jurisprudence and law and society scholar, and the author of ten books and over seventy-five articles and book chapters. His latest books are Sociological Approaches to Theories of Law (Cambridge 2022) and Legal Pluralism Explained: History, Theory, Consequences (Oxford 2021).
Breno Bringel is Professor of Sociology at the Institute of Social and Political Studies of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (IESP-UERJ) since 2011, with a permanent position since 2014. In 2022 he was awarded the ‘Talento Investigador’ excellence programme of the Community of Madrid, in the framework of which he is currently developing a research project on social movements and the geopolitics of ecosocial transitions at the Complutense University of Madrid and coordinates the Observatorio de Geopolítica y Transiciones Ecosociales.
