The Institute is committed to restorative justice and has participated in the 13th International Conference of the European Forum for Restorative Justice (EFRJ) in Poznań, Poland, bringing together more than 300 experts to explore its transformative potential at the personal, institutional, and societal levels.

El Instituto apuesta por la justicia restaurativa y ha participado en la 13.ª Conferencia Internacional del European Forum for Restorative Justice (EFRJ), celebrada en Poznań (Polonia), que ha reunido a más de 300 expertos para reflexionar sobre su potencial transformador a nivel personal, institucional y social.

This year's Mariella Carrino grant - In memoriam has been awarded to KM Rakibul Islam, who presented a proposal on “Beyond Borders, Beneath Roofs: Sociolegal Conflict, Housing Rights, and Migrant Precarity in Portuguese Agricultural Regions”.

Rakibul is a PhD candidate at the Universidade de Coimbra, and his work sits at the intersection of sociolegal studies, migration governance, housing crisis, and human rights, with a regional focus on South Asian migrant communities in Southern Europe. He is currently based in Moita, Setúbal, Portugal.
