Professors Dolores Morondo, Encarnación La Spina and Cristina de la Cruz, from the Pedro Arrupe Institute of Human Rights at the University of Deusto, have chaired the workshop called Desigualdades complejas y formas de discriminación en sociedades plurales: un enfoque interseccional, which has taken place at the IISL on 7 and 8 June.

Many scholars and experts from the University of the Basque Country, along with others from Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, Colombia, Chile and Sweden, are having a workshop called Sharing and Regulating Emotions in Legal Spaces: Mediation, Restoration, and Reconciliation.

El martes, 30 de mayo, el alcalde de Oñati, Mikel Biain, recibió en el ayuntamiento al penólogo y sociólogo del derecho Johannes Feest (Alemania, 1939), que fue director científico del Instituto Internacional de Sociología Jurídica de Oñati desde 1995 hasta 1997, y quien ha mantenido una estrecha relación con el IISJ y con la sociedad y cultura vascas.

El lunes que viene, 4 de junio, Feest participará en un seminario sobre la prisión, y el día 18 presentará su libro NO Prison en Londres, en la Conferencia Internacional para la Abolición de la Prisión.
