I am currently a PhD candidate in the English Department at Brown University. I work on the Anglophone novel with a particular interest in global modernisms, law, and novel history and theory. My dissertation “Entitled: How the Novel Thinks Right,” explores the impact of evolving legal concepts of personhood on literary form through the twentieth century. I am currently an Assistant Editor for Novel: A Forum on Fiction. My work has been published or is forthcoming in the European Journal of English Studies, Law, Culture, and the Humanities, Law and Literature, Modern Fiction Studies, Modernism/modernity Print Plus, among other venues.
Area(s) of expertise: law and literature, human rights, history of the novel, postcolonial studies, social epistemology
Had a fantastic, productive time at Oñati. I found all staff very helpful, and the other students friendly. I enjoyed my stay in Antia residence. The resources in the library are fantastic.
A small suggestion. Could be nice to have a social drinks/coffee once a week in a nearby cafe or bar, or a lunch at Mondragon campus in Oñati, on a signup basis. Could be nice for visiting scholars to get to know each other.
Thanks again!
