The WCLS has now begun its Launch Phase, being steered by a Committee made up of representatives of its 22 Founder Supporters [+]. They are now selecting an Executive of 6-7 people, but all the Committee members will be involved in the work of developing the WCLS. The immediate work entails
- developing the website (see www.lawandsocietyworld.org)
- formulating a structure for the organisation (including membership, funding, rules, etc), and
- formulating propsosals for its activities (what should the WCLS aim to do, and how). There is also a group of Friends of the WCLS, which anyone who is interested to help with this exciting project can request to join (please contact Sol Picciotto at s.picciotto@lancs.ac.uk).
