In may 2016 I went to the IISL for ten days with two goals: to attend at the Conpendi’s meeting and to improve my research work on Global Penal Field, issue that I develop in the frameworok of the “Political Sociology of the Penal Field”. Most of my time I spent in the IISL’s library where it was possible to find a great material on this matter. This important bibliographical research is on the basis of the writing of my new book which discusses major issues that affect penal field in the recent modern societies.

I was very welcomed at the IISL, a great and kind library staff helped me to find the books that interested me. I was located in a calm and charming office in the “Torrinha” where it was very agreeable to work. I thank very much the IISL for this opportunity to do a good work.
