 Professional experience:

Academic: Associate Professor of International Relations since March 2000, University of the Basque Country, Bilbao, Spain. Previously, Assistant Professor of International Relations since October 1990 to 2000 at that university. Responsibilities include both undergraduate and graduate teaching - in English and Spanish - of International Relations, Diplomacy, International Organizations, Multilateralism, Global Governance, Global Problems, Global Norms, Development Theory, NGOs and Global Development, and Introduction to Epistemology.

University service: wide experience in both organizational and administrative aspects of undergraduate and graduate programs: planning, fundraising, administrative management, academic publishing, students advice and career development.

Career development for graduates:

Particularly experienced in fostering career development programmes for graduates, through different initiatives at the international level, in partnership with both private and public institutions. Promoter and executive manager of various Memorandum of Agreement for the yearly provision of a number of Young Professionals for long-term internships (1 to 2 years) to UNDP, UN-WOMEN, UN-HABITAT, UNEP, FAO and other UN institutions, since 2000 to present, with a total budget above 6 million Euros, funded by the Basque Autonomous Government through public call, and a number of beneficiaries of more than 350 graduate students of diverse nationalities.
