The International Institute for the Sociology of Law is a wonderful venue where I have had the opportunity to develop one of the chapters of my dissertation in the area of Forced Migration and Refugee Studies in Spain. The IILS is an outstanding institute and very important point of reference in research from both social policies and legal and practical perspective. Access to the collection of socio-legal resources at the Institute’s Library and Documentation Centre, a specialized section of social control, labeling and governance (social policy, human rights and citizenship) have been highly relevant to my project. The support staff have been very knowledgeable and helpful during my stay. I have learnt and discussed with other great international academic colleagues and students. The IISJ is a unique and very stimulating academic environment.
